1GOAL Campaign

It gave me special pleasure to participate in the video of the song "Waka Waka (This is Africa)" by Shakira to promote universal education through the 1GOAL campaign, for which the Colombian singer is an ambassador. 1GOAL is a campaign led and co-founded by Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan, backed by FIFA and the World Football Federation.

Love Horse

I have also collaborated with "Love Horse" - a non-profit organisation for the development of equestrian therapy. This is aimed at anyone interested in caring for people with disabilities or therapy involving horses.

TV3 Marathon

That same year I showed my support in the fight against spinal cord injury, participating in a TV3 Marathon. It was also a pleasure to give my shirt from the Barça-Madrid 2010 derby to a young girl affected by the disease.

"The other side to Alves"

In March 2010 the FC Barcelona Foundation asked me to be the public face of a video "The other side of Alves' trying to raise awareness of the impact of AIDS on children around the world.

To help victims of Haiti

In March 2010 I participated in the campaign to help victims of Haiti, which began as a personal initiative. I participated in a project which looked for solutions to the problem of food shortages in this country so affected by the earthquake.
